    Bridal Q&A

    Q.

    What brands/products do you use?

    A.
I don't think any one brand has got it all! I use various products from several brands, but some of my favorites are Hourglass Cosmetics, NARS, Charlotte Tilbury, Armani Beauty, Marc Jacobs, Tarte, Nudestix, Tom Ford Beauty, and MAC. I love Kiehls + First Aid beauty for skin prep. If there are any specific brands or products you love or want to try out, let me know!

    Q.

How soon should I schedule a makeup trial?

    A.
You can schedule your trial as early as you'd like, especially if you want to complete a trial before booking and locking in your date- but I typically will suggest to book and wait until about 3 months before the wedding or to schedule a second trial closer to your date in order to ensure that your vision is as fresh as possible and all details (dress, jewelry, etc.) have been sorted.

    Q.

What is the difference between traditional and airbrush makeup?

    A.
Airbrush makeup will give you a longer lasting finish and tends to photograph better than traditional makeup. This works especially great for those with oily skin. It is super waterproof but still has a super light, natural, radiant finish. Most brides love the airbrush makeup, but I always analyze each client's skin and suggest what makeup I think will be the best fit.

    Q.

Do you suggest adding on touch up hours?

    A.
I typically do suggest adding on a touch up package. I do my best to apply the makeup in such a way that it will last all night, but still there are often elements that we cannot plan for: heat, wind, tears, etc. Touch ups give you that reassurance that you and your bridal party stay looking absolutely flawless through photos, walking down the aisle, and into the reception.
